Only 6.7% of women graduate with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) degrees. In order to close this gender gap microsoft started a program to encourage more girls to pursue these fields. Three years and lots of awards later, the program has grown to offer girls classes, role models, a Patent Program and most importantly, the belief that there's a place for them in STEM.
